Description
The HF Synergy SUP Belt is the perfect quick-release waist belt for carrying your safety gear while stand-up paddling, packrafting, or river running. Lightweight, comfortable, and built tough, it gives you a safe, hands-free way to wear your throw bag or tow system without cluttering your PFD or cramping your paddling style.
Now here’s the good bit: this isn’t just a strap to lash a throw bag to your waist. The Synergy is designed with proper whitewater use in mind — wide webbing for comfort, a clean quick-release buckle that’ll dump the lot in a pinch, and space to rig extra safety bits if that’s how you roll. It’s simple, tidy, and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a car seatbelt around your gut.
If you’ve ever watched your boat drift passed you whilst your scouting, with your throw bag clipped somewhere questionable on it, you’ll know why a proper belt makes all the difference. With the Synergy, your throw line is right there, secure, and ready to fire — whether you’re on a SUP, a packraft, or just the designated safety nerd in your crew.
If you’re a Mage paddler, here’s a trick: the Synergy can also be rigged to your floor as a quick-release for a lap bag, camera, water bottle, or whatever else you want handy without cluttering your deck. Makes your raft easier to roll, but still lets you grab the essentials mid-river. Looking at you, budding filmmaker…
The Energy Release System is pretty handy too. Not so much for on rivers, but if you’re in open waters like lakes or the sea, where separation from your raft could be life or death, this could be a god alternative tether if you don’t have a rescue PFD and a quick release (but you’ve got a rescue PFD anyway right? RIGHT?!).
We like it because it’s not overbuilt, not flimsy, and it actually works when you’re wet, cold, and fumbling. That’s what gear should be, right?
