Description

The Captains bag is a brilliant addition to whitwater boats like the Mage or Valkyrie with full length inflatable floors. The Captains bag straps directly around the full length floor and allows for storage of small items like the Pack-a-Pump, inflation bags, straps to roll us your raft, lunch, first aid supplies etc. What we love about the Captains bag is that it allows paddlers to keep some items accessable all day, whilst also keeping the deck free. This means better weigh distribution, allowing for better control of your boat, no “keel” to impeed your combat roll and gear close at hand when you want/need it.

The bag is around 8 Liters and can be strapped to your backpack to create additional capacity for walks in either as a “Brain” or “Dorsal” pack.  The Captains Bag is not a dry bag and has a mesh bottom to allow for quick drainage. If items in the Captains Bag need to be kept dry, any traditional roll top dry bag or alpacka lap bag will work to stop your sandwiches getting soggy.
