A lightweight solution from Sockdolager for carrying essential items on the river with you. Similar function to a bow bag, but this offers a cleaner profile and a lower centre of gravity which is great for pushing your grade on whitewater.

It’s not waterproof as it is, but you can store gear in a dry bag inside your seat bag if you need to keep it waterproof, alternatively it makes a great place to keep your inflation bag, ski straps for holding your rolled up packraft together, first aid kit, lunch or a 6 pack for the take out.

The Sockdolager  seat bag is meticulously designed for seamless integration with your Alpacka back band, ensuring stability and ease of use. Here’s how to properly connect and utilize the seat bag:

Primary Connection Point:

  • The seat bag features a small webbing loop at the top center, serving as the primary connection point.
  • For boats manufactured before 2023 that use shock-cord to stabilize the back band, use the included snap hook. Girth hitch the snap hook to the D ring, allowing quick-release attachment to the shock-cord.

Secondary Connection Points:

  • The seat bag includes two additional connection points with slik clips that attach to the 1” webbing on the sides of the back band.
  • Ensure all three connections are securely fastened while the seat bag is installed in the boat for maximum stability.

Optional Webbing Strap:

  • An optional webbing strap is included for convenience. When the seat bag is attached to the boat, stow this strap safely.
  • For hiking away from the boat, connect the webbing strap to the side slik clips for easy carrying.

By following these instructions, you can ensure your seat bag is securely attached, providing reliable performance during your packrafting adventures.
